OUR STORY

From a prayer in a small room… to a calling that touches nations.
We didn’t start with much. No big buildings. No fancy equipment. Just a burden. A deep ache. A holy unrest that wouldn’t let us sleep at night. We looked around and saw pain—children begging for water, families breaking under poverty, young people drowning in hopelessness. And we knew, in our spirits, that we couldn’t stay silent. We had to do something. So we started to pray. And from that small room of prayer, De Valley of Jehoshaphat Mercy Church was born.

A Church Birthed From Mercy

We named ourselves after the place where God showed up for His people when they couldn’t fight for themselves. Jehoshaphat stood still—and God won the battle. That’s who we are: A church for people who can’t fight on their own. A place of mercy, where grace meets the broken. A place where God fights for the lost, the abandoned, and the poor. We’re not here to build a name. We’re here to build people.

Africa’s Children Are Not Forgotten

We don’t believe God raised us up just to preach sermons in air-conditioned halls. He raised us to be His hands and feet—to wipe tears, fill stomachs, restore dignity, and remind every child in Africa that they are not forgotten. In villages where clean water is a luxury, In homes where a Bible has never been opened, In cities where spiritual darkness hangs heavy— We show up. With light. With hope. With Jesus. Every meal we serve, every well we dig, every child we send back to school—is our act of worship. We’re not just saving souls. We’re saving lives.

A Movement, Not Just a Ministry

What began as a local church has now become a growing movement. We are feeding children in Owerri. Providing water in Togo. Raising young leaders in Nigeria. And building a spiritual family across Africa. This isn’t charity. It’s mission. This isn’t aid. It’s an answer to prayer. This isn’t just social work. This is kingdom work.

Why We Keep Going

Because every time we see a child smile with a full plate, Every time we see a teenager discover their purpose, Every time we see a widow whisper “thank you”… We know Jesus is in it. We’re not the heroes of this story. He is. We’re just the hands He’s using.

Join the Story

You don’t have to be rich to make a difference. You don’t have to be perfect to be used by God. You just have to say yes. Like we did. There’s still so much work to be done. Millions of children in Africa still wake up to hunger, fear, and silence. But with your help, your prayers, your giving, and your love— we can show them something different: the mercy of God. This is our story. It’s raw. It’s real. It’s redemption. And it’s still being written—one life at a time.
