Have you ever just stopped… and thought to yourself:
“Why me? Why would God choose someone like me?”
Look at your story.
Look at where you’ve been… what you’ve done…
And yet — here you are. Still alive. Still breathing. Still held by grace.
It’s not luck.
It’s not coincidence.
It’s not by works of righteousness that you’ve done.
It’s by mercy — poured out through the power of the Holy Spirit.
John 1:12–13 tells us:
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of
God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man,
but of God.”
Born of God.
That’s regeneration — the Spirit of God making you new from the inside out.
Not a better version of your old self… a completely new creation.
And this work doesn't stop at just being born again. No — the Spirit goes even deeper.
He doesn't just make you a child… He adopts you.
Galatians 4:5 says:
“To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of
sons.”
Do you know what that means?
It means you didn’t just get saved to remain a spiritual orphan.
You didn’t just get into the kingdom to sit on the sidelines.
You’ve been adopted.
Given full rights as a son.
Given the name.
Given the access.
Given the inheritance.
Paul breaks it down in Titus 3:5:
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy
he saved us,
by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.”
This washing — this renewing — isn’t just symbolic. It’s supernatural.
And where does this renewal take place?
Ephesians 4:23–24 says:
“Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. And put on the new man, which after God
is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
The battlefield is in your mind. That’s where the Holy Spirit starts His deep work —
reshaping your thoughts, your identity, your desires.
But here’s the truth:
Many believers today don’t fully understand this.
They think salvation is just a decision…
They think being born again is the finish line…
But regeneration is the beginning — and adoption is your new identity.
In regeneration, you are made a child.
In adoption, you’re given full access as a son.
You grow. You walk in maturity. You speak with the authority of a rightful heir.
You are no longer a beggar.
No longer a slave.
No longer in hiding.
You are God’s child.
You are His son.
You are His daughter.
So today… walk like one.
Let the Spirit renew your mind.
Let the truth of your adoption shape the way you live, pray, and love.
You’re not who you used to be.
You’ve been made new.
And you belong
