Imagine leaving a throne of glory... to be born in a feeding trough. From ruling angels... to
being nailed to a cross by the very men you created. Why would Jesus—the eternal Son of
God—choose humiliation? Why would the King of Heaven allow Himself to be mocked,
crushed, and killed?"
"To understand that, we need to remember who He truly is. And what His descent means for
you and me."
(Beat)
"Stay with me—because what Jesus endured for you is more personal than you may have
ever realized."
[FLOWING INTO REVELATION – 0:45–3:00]
"Philippians 2 tells us that though He was God, He chose not to cling to divine privilege.
Instead, He emptied Himself—taking the form of a servant, born in human likeness. Jesus
didn’t begin in the manger—He’s the eternal Second Person of the Trinity. But He came
down... for us."
"The eternal Son of God wrapped Himself in flesh. Why? Because only He could bridge the
gap between a holy God and a sinful humanity. He came to save us—not with power from
above—but through humility on earth."
"And this humility wasn’t just a moment—it was a journey."
[THE DESCENT – 3:00–5:00]
"From the throne... to the dirt. From divine praise... to human rejection. He was born into
poverty. Lived in obscurity. Betrayed by a friend. Condemned by the people He came to
save."
"John 12:32 says, ‘If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men unto me.’ But that lifting
was on a cross. Pierced. Stripped. Beaten. Crucified like a criminal."
"This is what theologians call the ‘Humiliation of Christ.’ It was more than pain. It was
surrender. He took our shame. Our judgment. Our death."
"Why? Because justice demanded a price... and love chose to pay it."
[THE POWER IN HIS PAIN – 5:00–6:30]
"But don’t mistake His suffering for weakness. This was strength—divine strength hidden in
brokenness. By becoming like us, He could redeem us. By suffering with us, He could save
us."
"If you’ve ever felt unworthy... if you’ve ever felt too far gone... remember this: Jesus
descended into your darkness. He walked your road. He carried your burden."
"He didn’t just take your sin—He took your place."
"And because of that, you don’t have to carry guilt anymore. You don’t have to live in shame.
You are the reason He came."
"If this opened your eyes to the beauty of Jesus’ sacrifice—don’t scroll past. Hit ‘like’—and
share this with someone who needs that reminder today."

after the cross... when the humbled King was crowned in glory
