You didn’t choose to know God on your own. That desire in your heart? That moment your soul awakened to the truth? That didn’t come from you—it came from Him. It came from the Holy Spirit. The Bible says in 1 Peter 1:2 that the Spirit sanctifies us—sets us apart. But long before we ever felt His presence... the Holy Spirit was already at work. In fact, He was there from the beginning—whispering through prophets, shaping Scripture, and speaking truth that would echo through generations. Hebrews 1 tells us: “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets...” Did you catch that? God spoke. And the Holy Spirit was the voice behind those words. Prophecy isn’t just predicting the future—it’s revealing the heart of God. When a prophet speaks, they’re not guessing. They’re delivering a divine message—one birthed by the Spirit of God Himself. All Scripture... every page, every word, every breath of it... was inspired by the Holy Spirit. The Bible isn’t just a book. It’s a prophetic masterpiece. From Genesis to Revelation, it reveals who God is, what He’s done, and what He will do. Jesus said in John 16:13, “When He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth.” Without the Spirit, we can’t know God. We can’t understand His will. We can’t grasp His Word. But when the Spirit speaks—revelation breaks in. Prophecy isn’t man reaching up to God… it’s God reaching down to man. And through prophecy, the Spirit makes the invisible… visible. The Bible declares in 2 Peter 1:21, “Holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” The prophets didn’t speak their opinions. They were moved. Carried. Directed by the breath of God. And here's the powerful part: this same Spirit still speaks today. He may not always thunder from a mountain or split the skies… but He still speaks. Through His Word. Through His people. Through divine revelation. Some prophecy tells the future. But all prophecy reveals truth. It brings light to darkness. Hope to confusion. Direction to chaos. And yes—God speaks through men and women. Through young and old. He’s not limited by age, culture, or background. If you’re yielded, He can use you. If you’re listening, He will speak to you. But hear this clearly: the Spirit who inspired Scripture is the same Spirit who must illuminate it. Because inspiration gives us the words… but illumination gives us understanding. You can read the Bible a hundred times and still miss God—unless the Holy Spirit opens your eyes. So what should we do? We ask Him. Holy Spirit, reveal the heart of the Father to us. Make Your Word come alive. Speak through us, lead us, teach us. Let us not only read prophecy—let us live in the truth it declares. Because the Spirit still speaks. The question is... are you listening
